60,000 Cumulative Acres of Wildfire in California

Heightened concerns have been hitting the press the past few days about the extent of total acreage in California in the process of undergoing wildfire as we speak.  The wildfires are in different locations throughout the state.  There might be other smaller wildfires, so this list is not intended to be the most current nor complete, and does not give containment levels, however gives an idea with what is being contended with.

Wildfires in California Show Force in Numbers Far Past Previous Year

According to the LA Times article published today, conditions as anticipated, '1,000 more California wildfires than usual in 2014, and fire season just started', California is having to contend with a record number of wildfires, a huge jump from last year.
Articles to confer, ETISworld.com/...warnings of extremes of prolonged cold followed by extreme of prolonged heat and wildfires written in May of this year, which discussed prolonged cold, which might have foreshadowed or been an indicator...
