Wildfires in California Show Force in Numbers Far Past Previous Year

September 24, 2014
According to the LA Times article published today, conditions as anticipated, '1,000 more California wildfires than usual in 2014, and fire season just started', California is having to contend with a record number of wildfires, a huge jump from last year.
Articles to confer, ETISworld.com/...warnings of extremes of prolonged cold followed by extreme of prolonged heat and wildfires written in May of this year, which discussed prolonged cold, which might have foreshadowed or been an indicator of prolonged sever heat conditions.  So far, some of a dimension of extreme heat has manifested.

Northern California has seen many of the referent wildfires.

Unaccustomed winter and cold patterns in areas east of California, might be a tell-tale sign of whatever balancing acts of nature are going to emerge.  How long during or beyond 'wildfire season' will wildfires persist, is one question.  A second of course, is how intense are the blazes going to be?

Almost 5,000 wildfires have occurred in the last 6 months in California alone, per info graphic on the LA Times article using data from NIFC.

Some wildfires are larger than others.

Causes of wildfires vary.

Causes of wildfires range from insects sapping trees, to harsher sun rays due to sky conditions that have weakened due to pollution, to larger animals doing activities in efforts to make way their future habitats, to dry conditions on the ground, to lightning.

This year, aspects of the wildfires, for instance their behavior, may lie in lateral spreading, as a focus of differentiation.
