For those that do not already have the background, especially in the first portion of the film, it begins with a still shot of a region in southwestern Kosovo, then transitions to Mexico, with images from a historic book about Mexico published about 1870, historically acclaimed western movies wherein the setting was in Mexico or involved traveling to Mexico. There were Mexicans were living north of the present US-Mexico border at certain points in history, and were directed to move south. There was the Mexico-US War. The castle where was a site of a significant skimish, a monument in Mexico is a major one. Other landmarks, renown images. Images that reflect where The Borgen Project aims to have impact, especially in reducing poverty.
