Earlier this week there was flooding in Texas.  Louisiana, Georgia, and South Carolina, are also impacted by rain related conditions; some areas have no power; Georgia coast flooded; Charleston, SC flooded again.

Wildfires in California at Record Numbers

According to the LA Times article published today, conditions as anticipated, '1,000 more California wildfires than usual in 2014, and fire season just started', California is having to contend with a record number of wildfires, a huge jump from last year.

Western Region of California Seeing Brunt of Earthquakes Magnitude Yesterday Concentration of Numbers of Quakes in Southern Region

Just past a quarter after 3am California time yesterday, a 6.0 earthquake jolted Napa California and surrounding area.  Comparatively, the earthquake is about 5 or 6 time stronger than most of the smaller about 100 earthquakes that have occurred in the state over the last week.  The deductions about magnitudes are made based on SCEDC at CIT studies.  The higher magnitude earthquake was near the San Pablo Bay area.  Where Nevada comes to a point on the western border with California, then abou...

Dark and Dreary Storm and Flooding in Chicago a Big City of Illinois

What the exact region is beyond Chicago has not been studied yet for this report, nor how long the storming will last, nor what direction it is traveling in or possibly making swarming or circular motions.

What is evident is the conditions warrant administering to levels described as severe storm and catastrophe.

It is not the first time in the past several years Chicago has seen gradations of severe storming of this type.

Warnings of Extremes of Prolonged Cold Followed by Extreme of Prolonged Heat and Wildfires

The effect is similar to an ice cube tray filled with water for prolonged time, then suddenly placed in extreme heat, such as on the stove.  Not only is it easier to get the ice cubes out, but sometimes the entire ice tray will crack with it.  The analog to the ice tray breaking is major infrastructure and structures, markedly ones that if they give way to that effect due to climate and other weather conditions such as wildfires, could be hazardous.  Examples of these types of structures are ...

October 9th, 2024: In the effort to preempt devastation like what occurred to the western area of North Carolina during the Helene, let it be known that there are safe-side regions in the radius around Florida, as it abuts the Gulf, where extensions of the Milton storm's path may eventually reach the very same as Helene including VA, NC, AR, etc. These are besides the list of immediately nearby areas of Florida and Milton path known so far, in GA, SC, AL, TN, MS, LA, east TX.

Keeping a watchful eye on storm progress and unfolding of developments including dissapation, from now through the weekend is wise.
