What: earthquake; reports of magnitude between 4 and 7
When: April 9, 2013, thereabout, time zones considered
Where: town of
Kaki, south of Bushehr, Iran; the distance in miles from Kaki to Bushehr, is about 53 miles to about 60 miles
53.44 miles is equivalent to about 86 kilometers [km]
Repercussions of event: about 40 people dead, toll might still be rising; hundreds injured; between 800 to 900 people at least

Kaki is almost directly east and just across the body of water named the Persian Gulf, of the very southern edge of the Kuwait border, and maybe a few miles north or south of that point. Shanbeh, and
Sena, Iran has also received much attention as impacted by the quake.
Epicenter, was Kaki, basically meaning the strongest point and center of the earthquake, and working outward like a rock thrown in water, the ripples work outward and the impact is weaker, however, near the epicenter and still hit hard, was Shanbeh and Sena.
The United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Qatar felt shocks from the quake, and took steps accordingly.
U.N. reports, that only about 100 relief workers comprising 20 teams are involved with the search and rescue. About a 1,000 are in tents.
