It was told repeatedly, that the unrest in Hong Kong was escalating into what was eventually going to be a boil over. The status is now at inferno. Things could get hotter, literally. We, the USA, need to know, because we are expected to take steps to mitigate unnecessary strife.

Appreciated is that our office leaders are on top of the story. As a citizen, I only ask, because it has to be asked, that we increase being proactive at identifying the root causes of tragedies like these and continue to effectively prevent them.

I saw this coming, and discussed it in general in the past several months such as through the Headline Crest News site, http://MyHCNews.com, and with other offices in Maryland leadership in the framework of The Global Fragility Act , which The Borgen Project supports.
