Nexus is a word that defined means a connection or link from one point or matter to another. When used in a plural sense, it is usually the centralized hub of what other points that are being connected are connected to. Plural forms at least include nexuses.
The word nexus is not often used in English language conversation today, for instance used as a regular noun. You might find it more frequently in scientific writing.
Recently, Nexus has emerged as a name for a Google managed (especially aesthetics and public/market interface,) line of products that include what can perhaps summarily be described as smartphones, related products like Imprint finger sensor, technology such as Nexus Player, and what the future holds. This information current as of July 2016. Note the capitalization, hence used as a proper noun.
Manufacturing of Nexus models has been in cooperation with a number of renown companies, such as HTC, Motorolla Mobility, and LG. The operating system that Nexus runs on as known thus far is Android.
