Black Bear Trouble in Alaska

It appears that there have been one major and perhaps two, at least, black bear attacks on humans in Alaska in as many months dating back from today.
In one of the events, women were actually in process of talking about safety from bear attacks when the animal, ironically, but to those who know animal behavior, substrata these species, not quite that ironic.

Salient: Pit bull dog attacks have been recurring with all too much frequency in the past several months.  Of these incidents, toddler aged children have been amongst the victims.
